Alya Al-Ammari

Alya Al-Ammari was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and grew up influenced by the colourful works of her mother, a multimedia artist and gallery-owner. As such, Alya was introduced to a variety of media throughout her childhood, but decided to train in painting and design at university alongside her main degree in chemistry. Utilizing primarily digital media and acrylics, Alya now seeks to showcase whimsical, narrative, and bright works that bring together portraiture, illustration, and surrealism. When shes not sneaking art supplies out of her moms studio or drawing on her iPad, Alya works as a lab scientist at Saudi Aramco.
